I had the pleasure of working with Kitty at Doctors Hospital She was an amazing person. I never knew anyone with so much energy and caring for others. She will be greatly missed. My prayers are with her family.
Kitty was a wonderful friend. We grew up across the Seaton Dump Road from each other. Even though she was 3 years older than I, she would often include me on Sunday afternoons to "cruise" through town. We watered and chopped cotton together in the summers. She will be greatly missed. I will pray for her family in the days ahead. ~ Janie (Haggard) Burnett, Kalamazoo, MI
In the early morning we were graced by the wonderful full of energy Kitty with that smile, "Hey Baby", and then soon the wonderful smell of her perfume would follow her down the hall to announce that she was there. One of the best things about Kitty was her ability to pass some of her energy to everyone she was around. It didn't matter if you had a terrible day at work when she came by and said "Hey baby" it just lifted the bad off the day. We never saw her flustered. She was a wonderful friend and therapist. She always had time to speak to you and her spirit was so much larger than her small frame would imply. Her patients absolutly loved her, she went above and beyond in their care. She took care of all of her coworkers too. And like many others, we wonder what was in that fannypack. She will be loved and missed by all who have had the blessing of knowing her.
Jimmy, What a shock it is to hear of Kitty's passing. All the memories that have come to my mind since Monday night. Kitty was always laughing and smiling. Years ago when we took that EMT class, she,Jackie Williams and I was practicing straping each other down on that KED thing. I thought I was passing out...Kitty was laughing so hard she couldn't unstrap me....Our one and only ambulance call together---alone---flipping a coin on who got to drive, and turn on the lights. And then almost to the hospital we realized neither of us knew who to get to the Ambulance dock... Last summer I saw Kitty at Baptist. Catching up..I told her I was starting to be a clinical instructor of Nursing at Arkansas State..she let out a whoop...in the hall..on the 5th floor..just past the SHHH sign. More laughing. Jimmy it is that light of laughter that will live on in the eyes of her children and grandchildren. When I was marrying my husband and moving from England to Cabot, Kitty came and helped me pack and move. Jimmy you came by - you came into the kitchen and said "CJ watch her". Shook your head and left. At that time you could not form the words to tell me that she was in the back room in the house throwing away as many "treasures" as she was packing. Now I am the one who can't form the words to tell you how very sorry I am. I've read and have been told that in heaven there will be no tears, no pain, no sorrow. That's a good thing..Kitty is gonna smile and laugh. I do know that Monday night Kitty was singing with the heavenly choir. Her solo is a song that not one heavenly created angel can sing. "I've been redeemed, by the blood of the lamb." My thoughts are with you
I had the pleasure of working with Kitty at Baptist Extended Care Hospital. I only knew here since I started in July 2009, but during that short time, she helped me any way she could, on the days I was feeling like I wouldn't make it here, she would always smile and tell me "We're going to have a good day!" I will greatly miss her. My prayers to the family of this sweet and caring angel. John Reed RN BHECH.
I worked with Kitty at Doctors and at Select. I never knew anyone who had such an outgoing bubby personality. Anyone who ever met her would never forget her. We all had our favorite Kitty stories. We will miss the bright flame that was Kitty. Our prayers are with her family at this time.

I have never met anyone with as much spunk and energy in my life. She single handedly has touched so many lives in this world. From my first day of kindergarten, many sleepovers with Brittany,Sunday mornings at Southside Baptist Church, on to when we took the EMT class together, I will never forget her impact on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you try to find comfort and peace. May the Lord be with you through this difficult time.
I am so sorry that I could not attend the visitation or the funeral. I loved working with Kitty, and will always remember her positive outlook. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family and may light perpetual shine on her soul.
To All Of Kitty's Family: I am so very sorry to hear of Kitty's passing. I worked with a pulmonologist that had many patients on the extended care unit so I got to see Kitty often over the last 6months. She was always a sweetheart and so full of energy. Because I have recently lost a family member unexpectedly the very same way you lost Kitty, I know how hard it is for you. There are things I learned since her passing this past September and the main one being that your friends, family, and church family will help you through this more than you can ever imagine. Lean on them because they will pull you through the hardest days. I was told so many times (and still hear it to this day) "It get easier with time". I'm not telling you that it gets easier. I miss my sister in law more today than I did 2 months ago. I cannot tell you enough how sorry I am and how much I wish the hands of time could be turned back for your family. I will keep all of you in my prayers. My heart aches knowing what you are going through. Again, I am so so sorry. Kitty was a joy and will be deeply missed.
